FOREST BATHING
Forest activities related to well-being and health are spreading exponentially throughout the world, including in Italy. This is a sign of the population's growing need for access to new treatment methods that transcend the reductionist-organicist model of traditional medicine, and also of the scientific community's strong interest in a new approach to humanity and nature that promises benefits on various levels: health, social, economic, and ecological. In recent years, scientific studies have proliferated internationally confirming the effectiveness of these practices and beginning to outline some of their key aspects: the forest's healing properties, its duration, and the process of transformation. However, to date, we still lack a structured body of knowledge, validated by experimentation, as is the case with older sciences such as medicine and psychology. Forest immersion is a phased model that begins with the biophilic approach and develops by opening one's senses to the forest, connecting with the forest's effects and benefits , until reaching the adaptive and integrative phase in which participants develop a beneficial relationship. The leader thus assumes the role of "facilitator" in this process, and no one outside the forest is the true "therapist." Participants are asked to complete a pre-dive and post-dive form specifically designed to assess the subject's degree of biophilia and reaction to the "forest effect" after the experience. The activity is carried out with a maximum of 8 people.
