Allumiere

Allumiere owes its name to the ancient alunite quarries , which produced rock alum, essential for the processing of leather and fabrics. The area has been inhabited since Etruscan times, as evidenced by the necropolises and artifacts preserved in the Civic Archaeological and Naturalistic Museum . In Roman and medieval times, the area prospered thanks to agriculture, rural sanctuaries, and the natural resources of the mountains, elements that still characterize the town's identity today, along with a prized food and wine heritage.

Among the most heartfelt is the " Palio delle Contrade," which annually enlivens the village with parades, color, and moments of community gathering.
