Blera
Blera, in the province of Viterbo, has origins dating back to between the 8th and 7th centuries BC, as evidenced by the numerous Etruscan necropolises surrounding the town. The archaeological presence is an integral part of the territory: the Etruscan area and the necropolis of San Giovenale , as well as the site of Luni sul Mignone , a prehistoric and then late Etruscan settlement, tell a stratified story that is still legible in the landscape. The town is immersed in a natural setting rich in ravines, paths, and cultivated hills, but it also maintains a strong connection to its traditions: religious festivals, folkloristic events, and events related to local cuisine punctuate the community's calendar. A few kilometers from Blera lies Civitella Cesi , a hamlet with an authentic and almost wild character, surrounded by Mediterranean scrub, pastures, and ancient Etruscan and medieval settlements. The village, located at 180 meters above sea level, has about 300 inhabitants and maintains a simple pace of life, tied to the countryside and its landscapes.
