It passes beneath the Orsini Castle , a 15th-century fortress that dominates the village, and descends towards Montalto Marina , one of the most popular "Green Flag" beaches on the Tyrrhenian coast. From here, the itinerary continues towards Vulci, an ancient Etruscan city located between the territories of Montalto di Castro and Canino, along a mix of dirt roads and short stretches of asphalt . The excursion includes entry to the Vulci Archaeological and Naturalistic Park, with the option of visiting the necropolis and stopping at the picturesque Pellicone lake , a fascinating natural setting. The MTB tour then continues towards the Castello dell'Abbadia , home to the National Archaeological Museum of Vulci , reachable by crossing the famous Devil's Bridge , a privileged panoramic point over the Fiora river valley. The return to Montalto di Castro takes place along other dirt roads and short asphalt connections, also passing along the brigands' path , to end the route with a touch of history and legend.
