The Cammino Tuscia 103 is a long-distance route marked by the CAI, designed for those who want to cross Tuscia on foot or by bicycle. MTB, from east to west, from the Tiber to the Tyrrhenian Sea. We start from the Orte Scalo station and follow an itinerary rich in nature and history: climb Monte Cimino and the UNESCO beech forest, discover villages such as Vasanello, Soriano nel Cimino and San Martino al Cimino with its Cistercian abbey, and then arrive at Monte Fogliano and the views of Lake Vico . The route is well signposted, with several connection points to train and bus lines, perfect for both those seeking a multi-stage adventure and those who want to discover Tuscia at a leisurely pace.
The journey continues towards the Via Francigena , Barbarano Romano and the necropolis of San Giuliano in the Marturanum Park, passing through Etruscan sites such as San Giovenale and Luni sul Mignone, up to Monte Romano and ancient Tarquinia with the temple of the Ara della Regina.
